A silver coin commemorating the Auberge de Castille issued as part of the Europa Programme 2008 ‘Cultural Heritage’. The coin features the Auberge d'Italie which is situated in Merchants Street Valletta. The Auberge houses the Malta Tourism Authority. The obverse of the coin shows the Emblem of Malta with the year of issue 2010. The reverse depicts a detail from the façade of Auberge d’Italie, the marble-clad central element ornamented by a trophy of martial figures supporting the bronze bust of Grand Master Gregorio Carafa (1680-1690) with his coat of arms below it.
